The Meath Foundation Funding Research at Tallaght Hospital

The Meath Foundation was founded to support the provision of health care, research and education for the benefit of the community and within the hospital service.

We passionately believe in the value of healthcare research. It is the platform on which better services, better care, and better patient outcomes in a safe environment all sit and The Foundation is proud of its achievement of maintaining world class research at the Hospital

The Foundation has been awarding Research Grants since 2002. Up to 2017 we have funded 104 research projects totaling €4.1m

In 2012 the Foundation published  ‘10 years on… the Story of Research in Tallaght Hospital funded by The Meath Foundation’ showcasing the dynamic involvement of a wide number of staff at Tallaght Hospital in healthcare research across a variety of medical disciplines and therapy areas. It shows, that in our short history, we have been able to support some of the country’s most talented healthcare professionals in conducting important research that has benefited patients of the Hospital and the wider community.

More can be done if The Meath Foundation continues to be supported by bequests, philanthropy, our members, and the local community.
