Welcoming new Board of Directors

Following the AGM on Thursday 27th June, there have been changes to our Board of Directors.

Sibéal Carolan continues as the Chair of the Board. There are a further 14 Directors who are Kathleen Cass, Kevin Conlon, Gerry Fitzpatrick, Pat Flynn, Evonne Healy, Mary Hickey, David Kane, Martin Lyes, Fergal McAleavey, Aileen McCabe, Orla O’Brien, Dermot O’Flynn, Thomas Stone and Rea Walshe.

The Meath Foundation would not be the organisation it is today without the commitment of its Directors. Mary Kelly along with her Governance and Nominating Committee colleagues Rosemary Fox and Líadain von der Decken, retired from the Board of Directors. Their expertise and commitment to good governance has been invaluable in terms of supporting the Foundation on its journey towards improved compliance with the Charities Regulator’s Code of Governance. Barbara Loftus, who recently served as Chair and formerly as a member of our Research, Education, Quality Improvement & Innovation Committee, also retired from the Board. She was particularly valued for championing research within the Healthcare community.

The Board of Directors are collectively responsible for oversight of The Meath Foundation. They are volunteers who give their time to improve, protect and support the Foundation’s charitable activities through strategic development and good governance. Some Directors are drawn from the membership of the Foundation, while others are co-opted so that the Board has a wide range of skills and experience to support the needs of the organisation.
