The Meath Foundation Research Symposium

Friday 29th November 2024
9am – 12.30pm

Trinity Lecture Theatre, Centre for Learning Development, Tallaght University Hospital.

The Meath Foundation has funded healthcare research within Tallaght University Hospital for over two decades. Our Research Symposium is an annual showcase of that research and an opportunity to share and promote excellence in Healthcare.

This year’s research symposium will look at our research story so far, with a particular focus on Psychiatry and Endocrinology. The symposium will explore the benefits and impact of researching healthcare within a hospital setting. The panel format of the event invites discussion and seeks to demonstrate the research journey for the Principal Investigator and/or the team, with a particular focus on early career researchers. The Symposium will explore the impact of funding from the Meath Foundation in terms of additional research and improved outcomes for patients. The keynote speaker, Prof Colm O’Morain, will speak to his experience of research and the impact that funding from organisations like the Meath Foundation can have for patients. In addition, the Meath Foundation Research Laboratory will present on its role within Tallaght University Hospital and in supporting researchers across a number of fields. Registration is on site in the Trinity Lecture Theatre in the Centre for Learning Development at Tallaght University Hospital from 8.30am with tea and coffee. A panopto recording will be available post event – email meathfoundation@tuh.ie for the link.
